I spent a year faithfully pursuing God’s will and wholeheartedly trusting in what I thought was His plan, for this? For it to be the middle of April and now everything comes crashing down? I feel like He led me through hoops and challenges to get me to stand in the perfect spot, just to pull the rug out from under me and send me crashing to the floor.
Well, we’re 5 days into this new year. As I write this, I’m sitting in a crowded Starbucks, drinking my favorite sugar-filled latte. This is about the time when most people have gone back to drinking soda, given up on the gym, and broken other corny resolutions.
If you had to choose a word for this new year, what would you choose? Or better yet, what would God choose for you?
